The following sample itineraries are only suggestions for popular tours. We will personalize every package to your troop’s preferences and budget. All itineraries that include hotel accommodations will be based on quad occupancy.

A popular 4 day/3 night itinerary, based on your troop driving into Savannah and staying in the historic district.

Day 1

– Arrive in Savannah and check into a historic district hotel in downtown Savannah. Upon arrival, pick up the information packet fromPB’NJ Tours at the hotel front desk.

***A PB’NJ staff person will do a “Meet and Greet” at the hotel when you arrive.**

– Dinner at a local restaurant.
– Following dinner, your troop will be scheduled for a 1-hour historic, horse-drawn carriage tour.

Day 2

– Breakfast at the hotel.

– Arrive at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, located on the corner of Bull St. and Oglethorpe Ave. for your morning program. (This program needs to be reserved and paid for on your own.)

– Box lunch from a local restaurant.

– This afternoon you will be scheduled for the Girl Scout Militia program at Old Fort Jackson. Fun patches are included with this program.

– Dinner at a local restaurant.

– Following dinner, you will be scheduled for the 90-minute“Scouting for Spirits” walking ghost tour, based on haunted history. This tour includes a souvenir patch for each scout.

Day 3

– Breakfast at the hotel.

– This morning you will arrive at the Tybee Marine Science Center for the 2-hour, Coastal Georgia badge program.

– Lunch today will be from Lighthouse Pizza or a local deli.

– Free time on the beach near the Tybee Pier where the Tybee Lifeguard Station is located.

– Later this afternoon you will be scheduled for a tour of the Tybee Island Lighthouse.

– Arrive back at the hotel to clean up before dinner.

– Dinner at a local restaurant.

– Free time to shop this evening.

Day 4

– Breakfast at the hotel.

– Check out of the hotel and depart at your leisure. Have a great trip home!

Troops flying into Savannah, or arriving by train, usually ask for additional days on their itinerary. The following itinerary is 4 nights/5 days and includes airport or Amtrak transfers and chartered transportation.

Day 1

– Arrive in Savannah this evening. Meet the transportation for transfer to your historic district hotel in downtown Savannah. Upon arrival, pick up the information packet from PB’NJ Tours at the hotel front desk.

**A PB’NJ staff person will do a “Meet and Greet” at the hotel when you arrive.**

– Dinner and evening activities on your own.

Day 2

– Breakfast at the hotel.

Arrive at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, located on the corner of Bull St. and Oglethorpe Ave. for your morning program. (This program needs to be reserved and paid for on your own.)

– Box lunch from a local restaurant.

– This afternoon you will meet the trolley from Old Savannah Tours for the 2-hour “Discover Savannah” tour, which will include a visit to the Gordon family plot in Laurel Grove Cemetery. The scouts will receive an IP badge at the end of the tour.

– Dinner at a local restaurant.

– Following dinner, you will be scheduled for the 90-minute“Scouting for Spirits” walking ghost tour, based on haunted history. This tour includes a souvenir patch for each scout.

Day 3

– Breakfast at the hotel.

– Meet the bus transportation at the hotel for your charter to Tybee Island.

– This morning you will arrive at the Tybee Marine Science Center for the 2-hour, Coastal Georgia badge program.

– Lunch today will be from Lighthouse Pizza or a local deli.

– Free time on the beach near the Tybee Pier where the Tybee Lifeguard Station is located.

– Later this afternoon you will be scheduled for a tour of the Tybee Island Lighthouse.

– Arrive back at the hotel to clean up before dinner.

– Dinner at a local restaurant.

– Free time to shop this evening.

Day 4

– Breakfast at the hotel.

– This morning you will be scheduled for a tour of the First Girl Scout Headquarters (based on availability).

– Following this tour you will visit Andrew Low House museum for a docent-guided tour of this final home of Juliette Low.

– Box lunch from a local deli.

-After lunch, your group will be scheduled for the “Juliette Family Tree” program at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum, which will focus on the establishment of the railroad in Savannah by Juliette Low’s grandfather, William Washington Gordon, and will include hands-on activities throughout the complex.  Patches are included in the cost of the program.

– Dinner at a local restaurant.

– Free time to finish shopping this evening.

Day 5

– Breakfast at the hotel.

– Check out of the hotel and meet the transportation for transfer back to the Amtrak or airport. Have a great trip home!

Some larger troops choose to arrange motorcoach transportation to Savannah on their own. There are special considerations for this type of transportation, and we will include the cost of the bus driver’s hotel room, along with the cost of the Transportation Permit necessary for the Historic District in your package.

Day 1

– Arrive in Savannah this afternoon and check into your historic district hotel in downtown Savannah. Upon arrival, pick up the information packet from PB’NJ Tours at the hotel front desk.

** A PB’NJ staff person will do a “Meet and Greet” with the troop leader at the hotel when you arrive. We will also meet with the bus driver to review the transportation map of the historic district, as well as provide specific driving directions and parking restrictions. **

– Dinner this evening will be a buffet at a local restaurant.

– Free time on your own this evening.

Day 2

– Breakfast at the hotel.

Arrive at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, located on the corner of Bull St. and Oglethorpe Ave. for your morning program. (This program needs to be reserved and paid for on your own.)

– Box lunch from a local restaurant.

– After dinner, your group will arrive at “Savannah Square Pops” for a fun, interactive class where all participants can make their own unique ice pop.

Day 4

– Breakfast at the hotel.

– This afternoon you will board your bus for a short trip to Old Fort Jackson, for the Girl Scout Militia program.
